A civil dispute? We can pass it to an independent attorney.
Money owed, a broken contract, a deposit your landlord won't return, damage to your property. Tell us what happened — with your consent, we pass a short summary to an independent licensed attorney who decides whether to contact you.
Civil dispute: summary to an independent attorney
How it works
Nothing is shared without your consent, and you are never charged for the referral.
Describe the dispute
What happened, in which state, and whether a case has already been filed. No documents or ID numbers at this step.
With your consent, we pass on a summary
We turn your description into a short summary and send it to an independent licensed attorney.
The attorney contacts you
If they can help, they reach out directly. Any agreement and fees are between you and the attorney.
Good to know
We do not judge whether a case is strong and cannot promise that an attorney will take it: the attorney decides.
What is included
- We turn your description into a short summary
- With your written consent, we send it to an independent licensed attorney
- You hear back from the attorney directly if they can help
Important
- The attorney decides whether to take the case and agrees any fees with you directly
Before you start
Have another question? Call us on any weekday.
Does this cost anything?
No. We do not charge you for passing your case to an attorney. If the attorney takes your case, their fees are agreed directly between you and them.
Who is the attorney?
An independent attorney licensed in the relevant state. Before anything is sent, we tell you who will receive your summary.
What if I have a court deadline?
Mention the date in your request. If the deadline is very close, contact an attorney or the court clerk directly as well — a referral does not stop any deadline.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. Tell us before we send the summary and we will not share it.
Tell us what happened
A few lines are enough. You'll get a reference number right away.
